If you are in your 30s (like me) then you will remember strolling down the aisles, usually with your father looking at cables and batteries and wondering if those walkie talkies would work with your best friend who lives 15 minutes away.
If you are in your 20s or younger, you have probably never heard of Radio Shack or maybe even a radio.
If you are in your 40's or 50's, well I don't think you really care either way.
However, if you are in your 60's or older, like my father, you are sad and maybe a bit panicked.
My father lives in a village with one stop light. He has no hardware stores within 20 miles of the village, BUT, there IS a Radio Shack. Like many older (not old) people, he is not tech savvy. So, he relies not just on the store Radio Shack but mostly on the people. They will sit down and explain things to him.
Why should YOU care...I dont have an answer for that.
HOWEVER, I CARE...This means that not only will my poor father suffer a loss from the demise of Radio Shack, but, more importantly, so will I...I am now TECH SUPPORT!
