TEEN SENSATION AARON CARTER LEAVES HIS PAST BEHIND
For those of you who have not heard of the music hits "I Want Candy" and "Aaron's Party (Come and Get It)," Aaron Carter was a teen music sensation. Carter was no stranger to fame as his older brother Nick Carter is a member of the Backstreet Boys. Aaron was able to hold his own selling millions of records and opening for performers such as Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys. He was also known for his star relationships with Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan.
Aaron Carter started singing when he was 9 years of age and like most young stars, he did not anticipate that the music or the money would ever stop. Carter continued to be in the spotlight both in music and on television as he appeared on the Disney channel, on the reality show House of Carters and the TV series Dancing With the Stars.
Today, Aaron Carter is 25 years old. Like an ordinary 25 year old, he brings home less than $2,000 a month. Carter blames substance abuse and poor financial planning as the reasons for filing bankruptcy. Carter's agent claims that the bankruptcy is a positive thing, and, he is right. Carter will be able to get a fresh start and continue to play music and do the things that make him happy. Aaron Carter is a much more responsible person now than he was even 5 years ago. Bankruptcy allows people like Aaron Carter to be free of the poor decisions that they made in their youth and to start again on a fresh path.
Good job Aaron Carter for being brave enough to take this step.
